I "think" I remember what happened....
There was a guy in the front row, almost centre, who kept going crazy. He was French I think and after Jon asked him his name he went even more crazy and kept on shouting out at Jon and was pissing everyone off. In the end Jon told him to shut up!
Jon was definately not drunk, in fact it was a very good gig and very hot!
Everyone looked liked they'd just stepped out of the shower by the end of it, including Jon!

tell us what happened in hartford!!!!
I remember reading about it last summer. A girl (a Richie fan) was holding a banner that read "Sorry Jon, but I want to dance with Richie" and, according to her, Jon gave her the finger and later on, as she kept on raising the banner, put his microphone down (so no one could really hear) and told her to fvck off (she says she read his lips). That's what she told at the time. She was really pissed off about Jon's reaction. Then some backstagers said Jon didn't do that, that she probably misunderstood Jon...so who knows...
But that's not the only time Jon has given the finger to a fan. In Germany on the Bounce Tour, some fans were holding a banner saying that what Jon has *there* doesn't look like a second grader (something like that, I was not there, but a friend of mine was) and he gave them the finger when he read it, does anyone of you remember that?

Oh yeah!! The finger incident!! HEhehe..I still think Jon was just kidding around because of the sign. It is just a sarcastic kind of humor, but it obviously offended the girl.

Believe me Mouse, if you'd have seen his face as he did it, you'd have known he was not joking in any way! Having said that though, I'm not convinced it was aimed at Sara and her sign, she seemed to be though. From where I was standing, I could see it was aimed in her general direction but it could have been anyone in her section. If it was because of her sign then Jon needs to stop being so petty!

Regardless, him being in a really bad mood made for an excellent show, so it doesn't bother me

I wasn't there, so I can't really say. It just seems so out of character, but you would know more than I would having seen it for yourself.

Well he was just in a shockingly bad mood from the minute he stepped on stage. I suppose we all have bad days - though mine don't normally end up with me randomly swearing and giving the finger lol

Anyway, like I said, we got an awesome show due to his mood so it was all good to me

Ceri is right - it was an awesome show. I didn't actually see the incident first hand, but I sure heard plenty about it afterward. Perhaps one of the reasons he was in a bad mood was because he walked out on stage with his zipper open. Or maybe he forgot his zipper because he was in a bad mood - who knows. Either way it was one of the best shows that I saw last year.

Yes me and I must say, Jon was right at that moment. She had more of that kind of banners.

Kathleen you are right, Hartford was really good. The best out of my 3 concerts in the USA. I liked it even better than the two Giants Shows. It also was a nice venue though.
