why bonjovi is called a COMMERCIAL BAND????

Because most of their songs are very hooky, catchy, not complex and usually in the 4 minute average. All these attributes are tailored for radio play. Thus, they're called commercial.

Because they are popular and easy to listen to and catchy ... that doesn't mean anything more but most of the ppl saying that wouldn't never say this about their beloved band or singer ... it's always said as a tough critic

Because all their albums go platinum, get played on the radio and they get their video played on MTV (not anymore, thank god) and VH1.

If you were to think of it, any group/artist that does well in the charts would be called "commercial", it's just that Bon Jovi are more so then many other rock groups because they are so popular, and well known all over the world. You could also call them commercial because they change their style to fit in with what's popular.
It's not particularly a bad thing that they are known as "commercial".
