Alltough I like the new album, I think it could have been a lot better.
As for JBJ, I simply cannot believe what I am seeing lately. Has the guy got any passion left for his music or is he as bored by it as he seems when performing on stage these days?
A few days ago there was an excellent thread on this board asking where the guy, that performed that amazing Version of Hey God at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Paris in 1996, had gone. In response, there were a few performances from recent years to proove that he is still there...every now and again. Having attended the Amsterdam Show in 2008, I know that Jon still has it in him. He litterally went mad on stage with Saturday Night and Keep the Faith being perfect examples for that. But why is it that he only shares that passion so very rarely these days? I have recently been watching many youtube clips from the 1988-1996 period as well as from the 2000-onwards. It is absolutely scary to observe the decrease in passion and effort put into recent perfrormances.
LH Tour from the European leg onwards was great but there is just so many occasions to contrast those great performances.
As for Jon and the band having lost touch with reality, I partially agree. I don't wish for the band to do badly in terms of record and ticket sales. However, it seems that the band need a wake-up call right now. So hopefully the relateively low record sales and potentially bad ticket sales for that O2-residency will bring them back to their senses. I thought that had already happened when they played the European and Japanese legs of the LH tour to half-empty stadiums but it seems I was completely wrong as ticket prices have gone up.
Either way, it definetly is time for a change!

True. Maybe is because they should have stopped a bit and make a better album now instead of LH for example. Anyway I like a lot TC.
What I'm feeling while reading the post around here is that Bon Jovi is tired. In the WWWB documentary, he says he is tired a lot of times. But, I suppose that happened before and there was no problem.
And then, if he is tired, why is he preparing a 2 years world tour??
I don't like that kind of loooooong tours. I prefer better albums. And that prices are too high, plus this era we are living is about financial crisis.
If the band makes a two years tour, what's next? Jon will be 50 more or less, and the other ones more than that.
