Default For all you guitarists...

What Bon Jovi song do you most enjoy playing, and why?

I'll start. My favorite is These Days because: #1 I love the song and, #2 I can play it fairly competently. (Sadly with my skill level I won't be gunning for Richie's job anytime soon, lol.)

My second favorite is Have a Nice Day because I love cranking up the amp!

Anyone else??

I demand These Days cover now. It's my fav song and I love to hear different covers.

When I said I wasn't gunning for Richie's job I was being generous, lol. I'm not very good. My dog doesn't run away when I play, but he's just being polite. I would die of embarrassment if I butchered These Days on youtube. Maybe someday...

Whilst not technically my favourite to play, the automatic reaction for every time I pick up an acoustic guitar anywhere, is to play the opening riff of Wanted. It's like it's programmed into me, sometimes I don't even realise I've done it - it's one of my 'go to' songs to play. Like 'Fade to black', 'Every breath you take' and the ever predictable 'Stairway to heaven'.. I like picky acoustic type stuff

I enjoy strumming along to These Days, too. Wanted and HAND are fun to play as well. I also like playing the chords to Saturday Night.

Aloha !

Am I the only one on here who rarely plays Bon Jovi songs anymore? I occasionally play a song, but I don't have one that I keep going back to anymore. Every now and then I do try to teach myself how to play a song or guitar solo, but once I actually can it's no longer interesting to me.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Actually, one of the reasons I don't play as much anymore is actually kind of like this. It takes away a bit of the ''magic'' for me - sometimes I hear a tune, think it would be fun to play, look up the tabs and think ''Oh..it's a simple G,C D song..meh..'' and learn a riff or two then quickly lose interest.
Obviously if I had a band to jam with I would probably be happy to play with it more, but on their own, Bon Jovi songs aren't actually that interesting to play - bar a few obvious exceptions and their solos.

Oh, and I'd obviously love to be able to burst out ''Homebound train'' on my guitar, but I think I'd probably have a stroke.
The ''guitar'' on WAN is a snorefest, nothing interesting on there at all and I would have no desire to learn any of that.

They used to be. But in the last 10 years, there's hardly been any guitar on the songs.

The riff's easy. Solo's a bit harder, but it's not impossible by any means.

And The Circle and Lost Highway and HAND and...

The Bad Name riff and intro lead are still frequent guests on the fretboard.
