For Bruce Fans As Well.....

Was that the official board or Greasy Lake? Greasy Lake I have never known to delete anything- much more free than Backstage. They even have a political forum with some lively debate and they allow boot trading. I like the Greasy Lake board and have met some nice people there though I do have to occasionally defend Bon Jovi from time to time. Lately, I haven't been there as much to post but I usually check out the set lists.

All very true. The official site (like all official sites I suppose) tends to believe in censorship - which always blows me away in Bruce's case. He's the last person I would imagine condoning censorship. But even Greasy Lake has its problems. The fans tend to be very dogmatic. I don't mean worshipful (like I feel about the Backstage board) but "There is a Bruce music Cannon and you need to know it - by heart" God fobid you quote something wrong - 25 people will climb all over you pointing out your mistake. I was never comfortable enough there (and I was there for a lot longer than I've been here) to admit being a Bon Jovi fan. I saw a few people there discuss the subject and they were vicious. So I finally decided that I didn't belong there and wound up here. I would say that the average age is much younger here - maybe that is why people are more tolerant. But differences of opinion are allowed - and even encouraged - and for the most part people are respectful of others opinions. In general it is a lot more FUN - which maybe reflects the music.

Well Kathleen if you saw a poster called Barefoot Woman (Barefoot girl sitting on the hood of a Dodge drinking beer in the warm summer rain) getting beat up for being a Jovi fan that was me
But everytime it happened it was so funny how I would get all these PM's from closet Jovi fans. You are right- they are very dogmatic there but I have also connected with some nice people. But I feel more at home on the Jovi boards too.

Bon Jovi of course. I love Bruce too, and I think he's great, but Bon Jovi are it for me.

Definitely Bon Jovi. I actually went to a Bruce Springsteen concert this summer though because of my parents. You know, they dragged me and all that. I actually ended up liking it though, he put on a good show. I just wish I would have known more of the songs.

It was actually really funny, i remember my dad saying something like he though BS would have a special guest and I'm like, "OMG Jon Bon Jovi!!" (we were in NJ) like the whole car ride up. When I got there I kind of shut up about it, but then as we were waiting for it to start these people behind me were talking about how they thought JBJ was going to be the special guest and I was like freaking out. My dad's like, "You're imagining things!" But there was no JBJ. I would have been a Bruce fan forever, lol, if he brought out Jon!!

But anyway, I would be so scared to go on a BS message board...I mean like at the concert I have never seen as many drunk middle-aged people. This lady in front of us was like so smashed...she was really annoying and she kept like harrassing my little brother until my dad finally like yelled at her. But anyway what I mean was I know most BS fans aren't like that, but I would really not want to be on an MB w/ a whole bunch of people who are like 20 years older then me, LOL. Although I'm sure some people on here are...not that there is anything wrong with that...OMG I am shutting up now, I'm sorry!!
