Hi.I've been a fan since the first album (I admit i got into the band through the metal scene),& My first time seeing them live was in London Supporting Kiss.

I Guess ya could say i've grown up with the band...i do get stick from friends & workmates more these days than before,Jovi are considered more of a woman's band these days.

Looking at a lot of the ages of these posters,i can truly say i feel Lucky to have been around during the older days when the band were breaking

hehe i remember all us guys wanting to BE Jon or Richie in the late 80's...i guess these days,shaving your chest & having highlights just isn't considered manly anymore... (paticulary as some of us have less hair left lol)

Asking (Non Jovi) Friends Recently,Richie is the only one who has seemed to have kept his "Cool" status, Jon's obviously the ladie's choice,& as usual,nobody remembers the other three!!!!

But I'm Proud,I've Flown All Over the world to have gone on tours,& my gig scoresheet currently reads at 65 gigs ,& have made some truly unique & fantastic lifelong friends through this band.What more could you ask for?

But Be Strong & Be Proud of the music you believe in!!!

I am a woman ... but this is a very interesting thread .. I think that in Europe BON JOVI has a way more male fans than in the USA because of this "band for women" image they have in the USA (I went there for 3 concerts in february 2003 , there were male in the audience but I had the feeling that a huge part of them , were the guys /boy friends/ hubbies who drove all the ladies to the venue .... it's tough for many women fans to go alone to a show so they bring their non fan favorite male with them (not all of course not I know it's not all but a general feelings)

In Europe hmm I did many shows for this tour .. the pit was half full with guys who were NOT there for driving the girls home lol..... Europe has a lot of genuine devoted faithfull male fans (and they are often older fans meaning they are there since day one, more than many women who get hooked with Crush for many of them )

When a women say she loves BJ ppl will think she has been hooked just for the looks not the guys (this is sooooo irritating) there are a lot of guys who want apprciate the guys look too but they would love to BE THE GUYS ON STAGE .... the guys are role models for many young guys too and the non fan reaction is always much more nicer if you say you are a BJ fan if you have the chance to be a guy

First of all, seeing your post here and there recently I do get the expression that u do have some loose screws. Hey c'mon, if you are so concerned with the looks, turn down the audio when u watch the videos u might even enjoy it more that way.

Everyone knew Freddie Mercury from Queen was gay but it seems so cool to watch them ratehr than Jovi, doesnt make sense to me. So would your mates see Queen as Gay to watch?

Notice Jon's way of dressing tight shirts and going thru so much trouble to look good etcetera it makes some people think he's gay. His "horny" looks don't help it either. To me he looks more like a guy who seems to love himself very much but I can't find the right word for a person like that.

When saying someone is gay they mean a person can fall in love with another person of the same sex.

But Freddie wore it in a cool style. I don't know about Bono, and Bruce does certainly not wear the same stuff as Jon. Freddie wasn't gay by the way. He was bisexual. Anyway, Freddie was cool in his own way, Jon doesn't look cooler with his shirt "accidentally" ripped open. Check the ITA performance in Yokohama, he really looks plain stupid on that one.

When saying Bon Jovi is gay, 2 things come to mind... The homosexual version or "I hate Bon Jovi" A lot of people will say something is gay because they don't like it, not because of homesexuality, maybe in this case.
