OH definalty! Im a HUGE fan of the Hair Metal rock era that was big in the 80's!

People often ask me why i like them, simply because there are alot of females fans that "Love" john.

Then i get idiots that think there fans, because they know "livin on a prayer" or 'It's my life'. That really ticks me off, for if you ask them any question about any other songs, you get silence!

I hate those sort of fans! drives me nuts!

lol but to answer the question, yeah i do feel alittle lonely! Only when im not on this board though!

I get laughed at for liking Bon Jovi all the time. Haven't run into anyone that likes them like I do, but I found ONE person that knows at least a few of their songs. My friends and family think I'm a little crazy because I think at 42 year old man is attractive . But you know what? I really don't care. I'm proud that I listen to Bon Jovi. If people decide to not listen to them because they're "too old" or they were an 80's band, then they're really missing out on a great and talented band.

hi aussie-bopper

yeah, actually i stopped trying to get people to listen to bon jovi over the phone after getting negative feedbacks like 'they still gay' after letting them hear 'i'll be there for you' and 'always'.... if they say those two songs are bad, then i guess the chances of them ever liking bon jovi is somewhat diminished.

sometimes i just want to play bon jovi songs to my friends and tell them it's def leppard or aerosmith (they think 'i don't want to miss a thing' is a good song and i don't under stand why those that like the aerosmith sound can hate bon jovi) or the calling or something, then i might get some positive comments. i guess it's kinda hard for them to admit now that bon jovi is good after months of telling me that they suck.

umm and by the way...do you think that nirvana sucks? i m not a big fan but i've heard their live record and it's not bad and i think ' smells like teen spirits' is a good song.

Yeah i really dont like nirvana, im a huge fan of bands like Skid Row, Poison,Cinderella,Warrant and all those bands from the 80's. And when Nirvana came in the 90's with the whole grunge movement, most of these bands that sang great songs, got pushed aside to boring songs about depression and suicide. So yeah i do think they suck.

I still dont get how ppl call Bon Jovi gay? With your reference to aerosmith, i would have thought that steve tyler looks more homosexual, then anyone from Bon Jovi!
And being an Aerosmith fan, music wise there isnt much difference!?!?

yes and it was about time cause Warrant or Poison really had no GREAT songs - boring is relative - the movement for depressing songs about suicide was just logical and natural as the 80s sickening **** and party songs had pretty much gotten on everybody's nerves. Heil Nirvana and the whole grunge movement. We could do with another change of pace right now as well....

As is great. For me, Nirvana has no GREAT songs, but Poison do.
