The reason I put LH on the list is that (whatever personal opinions I or anyone has on it) it was much more successful than most people anticipated, got a lot of mainstream publicity, and while the toured album doesn't matter much, it was the LH Tour that brought the band the number one grossing tour of the year.

I agree with Crushgen.

IMO, the only records which didnt really have any major impact on boosting the relevance of Jovi were 7800, These Days, Bounce and The Circle.

Bon Jovi had Runaway, and well it was the debut album
Slippery speaks for itself
New Jersey just concreted the band's ability to be hugely successful
Keep The Faith had In These Arms, Keep The Faith and more notably Bed of Roses
Crush was the "come back", along with the mammoth that is It's My Life
HAND had Who Says which gave way to LH. HAND, the single, was also very successful.
Lost Highway was a great success considering the risks taken to do a country-influenced album.

I suppose The Circle could be including as it is the 'return to rock' album.

That's how I see it anyway.

Now, Lost Highway didn't either. HAND on the other hand did. WSYCGH pretty much salvaged BJ from that awful episode called BBBBBBounce.
Thank God for Crush? Christ, I couldn't disagree more. There is not one song on there that I would make a point of listening to.
If it were not for 'It's My Life' that album would have bombed (and I don't even like that song - it hasn't aged well). I suppose I should be grateful it didn't as the band may not have survived, but musically I hate that album.
This article has got it so wrong though. It's the KTF album that really took the band Worldwide when the US was turning it's back on the band.

These Days has nothing to do with keeping them relevant (at least, not in the US.)

Interesting how their debut album "kept" them relevant...

If i had 2 pick five

• Slippery
• New Jersey
• KTF
• Crush
• HAND

I love These Days but it did 0 to keep them relevant in the U.S. whereas Crush gave them a commercial rebirth.

And that was IMO the worst thing that could've happened. If IML would have tanked, maybe I'd still have more of the band I fell in love with.
