I don’t interpret the lyrics of Dry county to be that closely connected to the “geographical perspectives”.

To me the lyrics criticize the ways of the western world, the hopeless belief that if you only work hard enough you will finally get your reward. And that grass always is greener on the otherside, and all that bullshit.

Well For my first post ever, I will say that I love Dry County.. Its my second favorite song on "Keep the Faith" though. Bed of Roses being my favorite.

Oh and i'm a female.

its probably means that sooner or later you'll find out you feel like a transgen and you'll will have surgery to make 'your true self' happen..

Highly unlikely. In fact, it was the original poster of this thread labeled Misunderstood as a "guys" song. Not a very macho, rock song if you ask me....

I love DC and I`m female. I know other girls who love it I don`t think it`s a guy song at all. I love the lyrics, the keyboard part the guitar solo the whole package. And after all it`s not that hard so what`s supposed to be a guy song? aren`t girls aloud to love hard guitars? I love them

I guess it is loved by everyone, no matter if female or male. Just remember the reaction of the people in Düsseldorf when they started to play it. EVERYONE couldn't believe what he/she heard LOL.
