Would all the people who don't want to see BJ because they are older rather see them getting really bad facelifts and the like to make them appear *cool*? I don't think so! You don't have to be good looking to be in a ban d anymore, and that's a good thing. Bands should be judged on their music and talent, not on their looks and people who do that are just assholes.

Personally I think Jon and the boys look cool, I am a male and not gay. But the music and live performanes is a lot more inportant.

Look at Vince Neil in Motley Crue, he has become a fat man in his fourties, but he still kick ass like never before on the live level, and they have been on the road for many months now. Thats more inportant than good looks.

Totally agree with you.Actually,I think that Jon looks better and better as the years are passing by.Of course,his look is changing,he can`t look like a twenty-year old boy,but he can still make the girls scream and cry

I think he looks wondeful for his age.He has aged quite gracefully.In my opinion.

I sort of take your point but Madonna looks like a man these days. Also how many straight men do you know who own Madonna albums, I don't know any. I don't really think she sells records on the back of drooling men, it's more to do with women idolising her. On the subject of Jon I wish he would stop trying to look young wearing awful boyband style outfits. He looks totally gay in his little matching leather jackets and leather trousers, just embarrassing. It doesn't really matter as long as he puts on a good show (hopefully!!) though.

I think they look better personally...the dodgy hairdos have gone for a start and jons get a better bod these days...but thats besides the point they still rock!

Plus rod stewarts stilll rakin it in you have to think too that most of the fans are growing older as well!

I hope the ticket went to someone who apreciates their work and isn't just going because she thinks Jon's looking good. And the one who gave away the ticket maybe should look at a photo, it's cheaper and don't take away the spot in the Golden Circle of someone who goes because of the music.

You don't need to look good to become or stay successful. Just look at Bono or Michael Stipe. Both for sure a not really good looking but still very successful. REM got the highest record deal a band ever got once and remember how fast the tickets for U2 were sold out.

Tickets are way too expensive to go to concerts just to look at someone.

Yeah it sucks when non-talented bastards are the most successful. A lot of the modern artists come through manufactured competitions and its virtually impossible to win one of those without being good looking. My half cousin went to a competition like this. She's a great singer and performer and she made the final 4 or 5 in the North of England, but was refused for others who weren't as good at singing but better looking and would possibly be a better chart success.

As for Madonna then I wouldn't say she's beautiful but she's always had that kind of slutty side to her which attracts the media. No doubt she's got more talent than half of the artists around today, but she's never been afraid to do something different for recoginition which is one of the reasons why she's sold so many records.

Oh and as for BJ then good, I'm glad your friends lost interest because I hate people who like bands for what they look like. I mean if everyone was like that then I'd be into people like Girls Aloud and J Lo. Bon Jovi do annoy me sometimes though with their boyband like poses, but so long as their writing good songs and the music is good then I can't complain.
