Default Giving it a break

Just had lunch with the girls and we were discussing "Rumba" and they too can understand my disappointment. the question was "how do you feel about BJ at Rumba? One said, "You would think that Bj were bigger and better than being a part of Rumba". Another said That they have the pull to have their own concert tour. It was them that brought it up. These two comments came from two non BJ fans and then a third one chimed in saying" Mary it's a bit of a cop out." Come with us to John Farnham" (Thanks, but no thanks)

Is Bon Jovi a younger person's band? My friends are a little baffled as to why I need to go onto the internet and discuss BJ. Is Just Older just a little too old for all of this? There are 2 older Jovi fans where I work in different departments one is 47 the other 38 and they both said that they are going to give Rumba a miss and they'll catch BJ next time coz they were too old for that crap- I quote.

Another thing tht gets up my nose is when you try and get the boys airplay on the radio SAFM have been the least supportive whereas triple M if they don't have the info at hand they will take your home phone number and ring you back and oblige you with your request. The whole Rumba thing to me is hypercritical and ok, bullshit. Can you understand where I'm coming from?

I'll keep coming back to DC once this post gets no more answers and then I'm gonna give it a break.

JO

PS Dawn, when I get a chance, I'll be in touch.

I'm 20 and im giving Rumba a miss. I don't really like the idea of paying $95 to see bon jovi play for 45 mins. Im really disapointed they arent doing their own shows, they did the same with the crush tour. So are bon jovi a rock band anymore or what? cause it doesnt get much poppy and boring than rumba....

We could have this discussion 'til the cows come home. Lets just wait for the tour dates.

Well i for one are looking forward to seeing bj out here, and i have already bought my Rumba ticket. Sure BJ do deserve their own concert, but given that they are going to all brisbane, sydney and melbourne, rather than just one of them i am happy, coz this way we all get 2 see them without too much travel.
I think that it wouldn't be out of the question for bon jovi to play at rumba, and then come back for a full tour, but i doubt it will happen.
One thing that fits bon jovi playing at rumba, is that their new music is hard and awesome and appeals to ppl my age (1, and i think that rumba is good for that sorta thing, and they should definitly be closing the concert.
But overall i guess I would have liked a full bj tour, but remember that they are getting on, and the band may not have quite the energy that they used to. Also it gives us the opportunity to see all of the other artists at rumba, although we know that we will be waiting for the main one (BJ)
Fingers crossed we will get a full tour
-Dan-

I hope that Rumba is in place of the promotional tour that they were supposed to have. Gold star on the hand to BJ management who managed to get them airplay at a radio station that normally wouldn't play their music. Another gold star on their forehead for getting them into Rumba and getting the band exposure to an audience that ordinarilly wouldn't have chosen to see them.

:P :P but us old BJ fans have now been put out to pasture(don't you cry for me!!!) whilst BJ look for newer younger fans (snif snif) to keep the faith.(come on, feel sorry for me already!!!!!!! lol)

Those young ones, I bet they don't look out for Tico the same way I do either!!!!!! :P

KTF and look after Tico for me.
