What I saw Tuesday, May 16th on GMA was nothing major unless I missed something. Michael Strahan spoke with JBJ live very briefly. JBJ was in an undisclosed locker room. Apparently he's going to make an announcement about which school won?

I thought he ready sang last weekend at the winning school's graduation at Giants Stadium which I saw on Facebook.

I'm confused!

I agree... It is confusing... And I've been sticking up for Jon this entire tour so it's my turn... This couldn't be more uninteresting. I used to get excited when Jon did promo but that was just as boring as it gets...

Jon promoting this surprise with Michael Strahan on GMA @ Metlife Stadium should have raise some buzz however it just fell flat. He's got the band there, less Dave. Phil is playing the acoustic part that Jon could easily play. Tico is banging on a box, Phil is not even needed, and what's up with the freakin violin?

I used to enjoy Jon's acoustic performances and even wanted that Strum As You Are release back in '03 but what he's doing how is just flat out lazy!!! I think Jon equates Acoustic performances with a green light for dodging notes.

I believe he's trying to turn Reunion into the international graduating theme song but it's just not good enough for that to ever happen... I like the upbeat version and the remixed version even more but not at the level Jon is trying to turn it into... And that lazy acoustic rendition needs to go... And loose that ****ing violin... Lost Highway was 10 years ago!!! Move On!!!

I think Jon was simply feeling sentimental as he has his own kids graduating from college and just wanted to do something as a nod to that nothing more really.

Maybe a little... but they built it up like some big thing is happening and maybe if Jon showed up solo, I'd be a little more accepting... it just seems to be the current trend and my frustration comes with the bands best interest...

Waaaaaaait, now we're complaining that Jon is bringing the full(ish) band out to performances like this? It makes it look more like a band. We were just bitching that this felt like a solo tour for Jon!

Do you really expect Jon to do anything and not have someone around here bitch about it? People actually complain about his building homes for the homeless and feeding the hungry. Someone is always going to complain. It just varies by who it is.

Bon Jovi crashes FDU's 2017 commencement
A notable New Jersey native crashed Fairleigh Dickinson University's 74th commencement Tuesday morning -- Jon Bon Jovi.

At this year's ceremony at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, Bon Jovi shared some thoughts and a song with the graduating class and audience.

FDU's Class of 2017 won a contest held by MTV where Bon Jovi would "crash" the winning school's commencement.

Nearly 3,200 students from 54 countries and 40 states received degrees from the university, and an honorary degree was also conferred upon...(the widow of an) FDU alumnus and trustee...who lost her husband in the PanAm Flight 103 bombing in 1988 (and who) established a scholarship in his name...

The winning college just happened to be in New Jersey? Exactly how fair was this MTV contest?

Irony alert: Dave just happens to be the band's remaining New Jersey resident!
