Not quite actual goose bumps, but sometimes I get that sort of 'chill' when I hear Dry County from Milton Keynes 93, the one on the Dry County 2CD set

'A couple of years ago we took a little bit of a break; got off the road, stopped making records, I think for a while we stopped living. What we had to do was run away from something that we loved to see if we liked it anymore, and after living for I guess at the time about 7, almost 8 years out of a suitcase, we had to go home and see what those four letters meant. And when you sit by yourself and you gotta stare in that mirror you gotta see if what you did makes any sense to you because if you're not happy, there ain't a hell of a lot goin' you know? All the money in the world don't mean nothin', all the success in the world means even less, and so we all went our seperate ways and we went to go and find something, and I got on a motorcycle and I went out, and I went to go see the country, and what I found I liked a lot. What I found was a lot of people who were searching for the same kinds of things I was, so it didn't get me down, but it sort of fuelled the whole process. And if you'll let me I'll take you on the back of my bike. I'll take you to a place, the place is called Dry County.'

I was bored, so I just transcribed that lol I'm procrastinating again, and it just gave me an excuse to listen to it yet again

Damn straight!

"Every day a man wakes up, and every day a man tries to pour himself a cup of coffee, take a good long hard look in the mirror. And sometime what he looks at he doesn't like, and sometime what he sees it makes him angry, and sometimes what he sees it makes him sad. Sometimes what he sees is himself, and that disappointment just gets into you, and it just rips you apart, little by little, piece by piece. And sometimes you can just lay down, you can play the game, you can take the cards that they deal ya, and you can just pretend it's all over ..... BUT NOT ME!!!"

Best. Version. Ever.

I've heard a fair few and it is still my favourite.

It's a very good question! There are so many Bon Jovi songs that make me want to cry, laugh, blush, jump up and down, curl up and stay very, very still...

But there are only two songs that physically give me goose bumps - In These Arms (especially with my ear pressed right up against the speakers), and the "Every day a man wakes up..." version of Keep The Faith.

It's funny, really, as none of them are my favourite songs... But there is just that "quality" about them.

He used the same part in a version of that? Or are you confused and mean the version of Dry County we were talking about?

Wanted Dead or alive, when Richie erupts with his electric guitar into the solo - does it for me everytime! Honestly, the notes in that solo, especially on some live recordings (Live from london for example) give me goosebumps. And when Tico comes crashing in and the stage lights go up, its just all awesome. Whoever knows the technical jargon can explain about the solo, but its the 'squeals' Richie gets from the guitar, pinch harmonics i think that just get me.

Intro to These Days, the organ/piano really gets me to sometimes.

And of course, those live version of Dry County mentioned above are awesome.

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."
