Default Gorky Park - Peace in our time BJ contributions

Clicking through Youtube Vids yesterday I came across this song by Gorky Park. I heard it before and I know it was written by Richie and Jon, but I never recognized that this song actually sounds almost exactly like it was left from New Jersey, just with a different singer.

I think the Background vocals are definitely by Jon. The solo sounds like Richie and I'd even say the drum sound and playing is quite similar to Tico's at the time.

Does anybody have accurate information on who really played on that song?

Jeeez, I would have bet my house on that being Richie on guitar! Its got his trademark harmonic squeals all through it. hmmmm

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."

Totally! It sounds like a New Jersey outtake with David Coverdale on vocals.

We need a real Box Set with true 80's songs. Although the one we got was great, it was basically Sex Sells with 2000+ demos. I think even the prior tracks were re-worked.

This is from wikipedia:

"Track 5 (= Peace in our time) produced by Jon Bon Jovi & Richie Sambora. Recorded & Mixed by Obie O'Brien, with recording assistance by John "Joy Boy" Moyer & Nick "The Pig" DiDia."

Maybe they simply took the Bon Jovi demo recording and dubbed it with vocals from Gorky Park.

Horrible voice, no wonder why they didn't make it big.

after all these years i'm so glad that i see at least one person agreeing on my opinion abt the boxset instead of endlessly praising it.

I'm very sure that is neither RIchie on guitar, nor Tico on drums.

Yet you can't give any evidence besides the credits?

Well, when I compare this solo to the style of the other solos from GP's guitarist I'm actually very sure that it is Richie on guitar.

I'm pretty sure Jon sings parts of the lead. I couldn't tell at first, but after a few listens it does sound like he does more than backing.

EDIT: Spidey5150 beat me to it.
