The rockers are most of the time drunk and they are older than the goths so they don't mess up with them. But the Punk fights were such fun...damn...almost every friday.
The leader of the punks comitted suicide and then it kinda stopped.

i'm not a drunk - but one day it may become my mission to become a "goth-bashing group leader"

So, letitrock, you hate Goth's and want to be a "Goth bashing group leader" Does that mean you automatically hate me, also a fellow Bon Jovi fan, based on the label that 85% of my wardrobe is under and the genre some of my music taste comes under? I have been labelled "Goth" based on this, I'm not complaining, but do you "hate" me despite never having corresponded with me in any way? I personally hate that kind of stereotyping, and I'm sure if someone said they hated ALL Bon Jovi fans, you would feel similar. Don't judge a book by it's cover, It just makes you narrow minded.

i hate it when people can't see obvious sarcasm and humour...

plus notice death to "goths" and not people who are them references... ie in the same way i would say death to pop, without expecting someone to murder britney spears

And I hate people who avoid answering questions. I don't appretiate your humour but that has nothing to do with what I asked you. I did not say I hate a problem with you saying "death to goths" I asked you a very simple question, and to be honest I would like an answer to it. It's only common curtesy considering you posted some rather insulting comments in a very stereotypical way, be they humour to you or not.

let's see then... erm...

i never hate anyone without meeting them, and even then hate is too strong a word sometimes. I'm not the one living the stereotype - it is possible to be a goth without having to have the whole wardrobe etc... you can be a goth on your own terms.... just as a rocker doesn't have to have tight trousers, long hair, and a drug and alcohol habit...

everyday of my life i hear people saying how they hate BJ fans, but I don't go on the offensive.

what you fail to see is that i know not all goths are the same, but that i don't like what they represent musically... and how they have messed up where i live in manchester - which used to be a nice 'alternative' area, very diverse, for all tastes... now it's a goth-only area...

may i ask why you choose to be one? and i just mean genuinely out of interest...

That wasn't so hard now was it?

As for my choosing to be a goth. Music wise, I've always liked heavier stuff, raised on more AC/DC and whatnot than can be healthy I suppose it was inevitable, the "Goth Metal" genre suits that part of my tastes, but then, if you look in my CD collection you'll find Celine Dion too. Different moods call for diferent music.

Then the dress part...I like medievil style dress and I like shiny/silver metal accessories, hanging chains all over necklaces and spikes. I've never liked to be overly feminine but I like makeup, black/purple/dark red lipstick/nail varnish doesn't make me feel girly. I can get away with long sweeping skirts that every little girl likes swishing about in, and still look like the mature 17 year old I am lol.

Goth is just a label. I didn't wake up one day and decide the devil wanted to be my dark master...my tastes just kinda mounted up and got me called "Goth" People have been known to yell that word at me when I'm wearing black jeans and the skull, Bon Jovi Forever shirt with a leather jacket, simply because it's all black and has a skull somewhere in the outft

cheers,

what i dislike about it is that sometimes people assume i like that sort of music, because i have long brown hair, leather jackets, mostly where black...

it seems i have to wear blue jeans just so i don't get labelled that way...
