I don't think he think's it's an insult he just said he hadn't been to the Grammy's since 1990 (even though they'd been nominated) and just didn't care for award shows in general.

he was at the Grammy when they were nominated for It's My Life and for Crush, wasn't he???

Honestly, I can't remember. I know they weren't there when Misunderstood was nominated.

true, for Everyday and Missuderstood they didn't go (I think both were nominated for best POP in 2 consecutive years) but with CRUSH they seemed quite excited and I think they hoped they will finally win. Of course they had no chance against U2...I am actually surprized they haven't won anything this time, have they?
