They didn't win at the CMAs or ACMs, but the oddity here is that none of the other songs that were nominated against them before are in the category for the Grammy noms. Brad Paisley & Dolly Parton won the award at both the CMAs and ACMs. I've never even heard any of these nominees on the radio--not even the Trisha and Garth song which should have had some radio momentum merely from Garth Brooks being involved.

I'm with Matt, why wouldn't they win a tour award. I mean they were in the top 3 of tours for the year this year and were nominated for the Billboard touring award. They'd have won that one if their ticket prices were higher, lol!

I don't really see everyone's problem with the whole country grammy thing. I mean a Grammy's a Grammy, and "Who Says You Can't Go Home" is a damn good song, no matter what genre it's in, and it deserves one, even if we are a little sick of it

Then again I remember watching an interview around Bounce time, where Jon said if he won a Grammy he'd give it back haha, so I guess it doesn't really matter.

I am sure it was around before. It doesn't make it any less stupid.
When Sambora will bring out a solo album he'll win for "Best vocal performance by artist who normally does not sing!"...whatever.

I don't see what the problem is with them winning one with a country collabration. Shit they are only one stroke of the catergorising pen short of being rock country anyhow. The song is a great song. Whether they want or care about the Grammy is another thing. But to win can only be a good thing. It won't harm anyone at all.

He was nominated in 3 categories that year if memory serves me correctly. Pop/Rock Male Vocal; Song from a Movie; and Single of the Year or something. The one I remember best was song from a movie because "Under the Sea" from the Little Mermaid won instead.

No shame in losing to that.
