Good news to see them nominated...

(cue me on the big screen) JBJ: "How good have you been? Oh My God!" (laughs, more teasing) JBJ: "You want it huh, you want it huh? Blood on Blood just for you, the good girl in the front row? The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

Yeah MaM debuted and peaked at #27 on the Billboard Hot 100. The only other BJ singles to crack the Billboard top 40 this century are WSYCGH (#23) and IML (#33).

I find it strange that when the band were at the top of their game, selling millions of records, and releasing quality albums like KTF and These Days they didn't get a look in from the grammys.
But since Crush, when my opionion the bands music started to declined, as has album sales, Grammy started to notice the band existed.

That's why I firmly believe that wins and nominations from such awards as the grammy's are bouight by the record company, maybe even the band.

It's really a great promotional tool, notice how every nominee's sales spike up a bit and after the ceremony the winners sales boost up even more, it's really strange.

Some things I found interesting:

- The fact that LH got nominated is a travesty. The fact that it's nminated for the best POP album is HILARIOUS! I hope that it doesn't win cause that will just encourage the band to do it again.

- "Memory" is actually the only song I can really stand on that album so it's coll that they got the nod for that. I think it might get defeated by that ferrie song "Delilah" because "Delilah" was way overplayed, or maybe by U2, cause U2 can make an album full of static and still get nominated.

- Among the nominations for Best Country collaborations:
Lost Highway
Willie Nelson & Ray Price

- The White Stripes. Icky Thump is nominated in Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance By Group categories... but the album is nominated for Best Alternative Record?? WTF?

- Two instrumental tracks from the record "We All Love Ennio Morricone" got the nod, "Ecstasy of Gold" by Metallica and "Once Upon A Time In The West" by Bruce Springsteen. I could really care less for Bruce Springsteen so go Metallica!

- How does John Mellencamp's "Our Country" get nominated in Rock category? Same with Paul McCartney? If they are Rock, then that would make BJ rock too, not pop.

- Metal songs, go As I Lay Dying!

Anyway, Grammys suck!

Well, the two awards that Bon Jovi were nominated for were awarded before the show aired and they didn't win either. Maroon 5 won for the song category and Amy Whinehouse one for album. Bummer!

Make a memory should have won. It's a greatly crafted piece of music.

My god Deb, how did you find that out already? so I guess I don't have to watch the show then. The Grammy's are a joke anyway, that's why BJ doesn't even bother going. I don't blame them.

There categories were given out in the pre-telecast which was shown on the Grammy website. I still don't understand how Maroon 5 beats out Bon Jovi or U2.
