I think Seb and born_to_run should do a standup comedy act together - i'd pay to see them. Who's with me?

It's best if we ignore seb & born_to_run's arguments (almost always started by born_to_run) then hopefully, we can stop every thread descending into a mess.

Back on topic; I sort of think this could be the deal, I never got the impression ther'd be a full blown Lost Highway Tour, so turning it into a GH tour starting in Europe, then maybe coming back to the US (big Giants Finale?) could make sense.

But also, I see btr's point - it has been "publisised" as a LH tour.

We can't say for definate either way really.

Here's what i think:
I reckon us in Europe are going to be stuck with 'Lost Highway Tour' and the extra musicians next year.

I reckon the Greatest Hits album and accompanying tour will be announced Oct/Nov 08, same format as most years- reaching Europe in Summer 2009.

The CD will be out winter 2008, to get the xmas sales. This makes more sense, look at how many Greatest Hits CD's have been released/re-released this winter (Zeppelin, Clapton, Stones, David Gray, Spice Girls)! Any old shit gets sold at Xmas!
This also leaves the door open for an oh-so-familiar 'Special Edition' (ie. re-release ripoff, a few extra crappy tracks) to be released in Summer 09 to accompany the Europe shows

Of course, i'd love for me to be wrong and see them next year without the extra musicians. Fingers crossed eh?

I would be they are holding the GH until 2009, to coincide with when they'll up for the R&R Hall Of Fame.

Wouldnt a GH tour in 09 be a bit too close to the LH tour in 08? They would have a bit of trouble selling out another tour so soon after the last one perhaps? As a casual concert goer would be of the opinion of "I only saw them last year"

They have trouble selling out this tour already. Every category is still available here in germany. Looks like they play in front of empty stadiums! Well deserved!
