So it's disconcerting to find him immediately likeable,
I guess it's "cool" to go into an interview having decided beforehand that you won't like the interviewee.

for **** sake i just KNEW it. I saw the word interview and immediately said to myself if i see the words bruce springsteen ANYwhere in this interview im gona break something. And there, low and behold right in the first paragraph.
Why does EVERY single review, and im not taking the piss here, mention him in some way. The music has very little similarites, but apparently the music is not what the media are interest in. All reviewers seems to have the built in automatic assumption that Jon is a second-rate bruce etc etc I've read the same phrases countless times over the years and its beyond old now.

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."

if i was jon i would have given up talking to the press a long time ago. it always seems condescending and in general they seem to view the band and the fans as a joke

The thing I find funny is that journos criticise the band for writing cliche laden songs and being unoriginal. Fair enough, that might be valid. However, invariably their pieces will mention Bruce Springsteen and the band's hair. Pot. Kettle. Black.

(cue me on the big screen) JBJ: "How good have you been? Oh My God!" (laughs, more teasing) JBJ: "You want it huh, you want it huh? Blood on Blood just for you, the good girl in the front row? The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

I'm fans of both Bon Jovi and Bruce but I think comparisons are unfair on Jon to be honest. I prefer Bon Jovi's music because it has guitar solos in place of the saxophone solos in the Boss' music. It seems universally accepted however that Bruce is better, which appears to be the viewpoint this clueless interviewer takes as he's jumping on the bandwagon.
