Whatever. I'm just saying that Jon is the engine, the rest of the band does not matter. If Jon wants to make a record and a tour, then there will be. If Jon pulls out a solo album or take a few years to acting, then Bon Jovi is OFF. If Jon had bought the football team, there would be no new album.

Jon could have released solo album Easily. Why did not? It is easy, Because he wants to show That Bon Jovi can continue without Sambora. And it will work. But later, when Richie wants to return, Jon will build around Richie to sell even better thing.

I do not think Jon and Richie are so spiteful and stupid for not doing so in the future.

I agree. I am very critical of the direction of the band, but I admit that despite that THSNFS is not my cup of tea, I can still enjoy some of this, because it's a effort better than BWC.

I just do not want they repeated to infinity with John Shanks. But that BJ follow, and Richie also follow their path, it is somewhat exciting for a fan like me from long ago.

Hall of fame is when Richie will come back. IF they get inducted, obviously.

I think that it is past the point of him coming back on future releases. Phil X has pretty much got his 'official' place now that he is in videos, single covers and what not. I know you could say the same about Hugh but Phil X has changed his bio and the band have put him down as a member so he is already there really....

I'm pretty much past the point of caring about Richie now, though. I thought I'd find it weird seeing Phil X on the single cover or the video but I didn't.

Richie is likely to come back once he breaks up with Orianthi or get cured by the desire of being a lead singer on his own. Other than that, the Jovi sound and 'mr.' Shanks being the producer of the band matters also to Richie's decision to quit the band, even the way he did, as well as Bobby Bandiera being a tour guitarist for the band. (But I guess Bobby is out).

Anyway, I love Richie and I'll support him even on being solo.

In Richie we trust!

PS.

A Super Bowl half time show or RNR HOF might bring Richie back for a show or two.

Amen.

I like Matt so much better than Bobby, and changing the producer and/or production style would help a lot (I know that it's probably mostly Jon who determines the sound, but anyways).

But I doubt that Jon and the other guys will accept Richie just joining them for the Super Bowl. RNR HOF seems more plausible to me, if at all.

The superbowl would be extra lame since the music isn't really live there. It's always a pre-recorded live track set to live vocals so Richie coming back to mime his guitar playing would be just all kinds of wrong....

I don't know why some think Jon should have made a solo record and not continued Bon Jovi.

It's his band, in almost every aspect. We can try to deny it to ourselves but it always was that way. He was calling the other guys "my band" from the very beginning. He is their boss. Employees and bosses can be friends with each other.

I used to work for Microsoft. I decided to leave. Should Microsoft now cut the brand? But Richie was integral to the growth and development of the band? You bet he was, so let's use another example. Steve Jobs was sacked from Apple, should the company have been rebranded?

It makes zero sense from a business or personal perspective for Jon to end the band and go solo. The band makes him more money, and it is his baby, his personal creation. Richie was important, but it's Jon's show and always has been.

It's cold, but if all the OG members left then Jon could still carry on as Bon Jovi and in fact many outside the fanbase wouldn't notice or care. That would be a problem in 2016, because Jon needs the actual fanbase to sell records and even fill out a tour. But still, he could be Bon Jovi on his own and it would be perfectly legitimate.

As for when Richie comes back. I think if his new record fails (I think failure would be another disaster tour) he will want to go back to Bon Jovi. However, I don't think Jon will want to play ball.

Except that GN'R did not reunite at the HOF. They're not even reunited now.
I'd like for Richie to come back, but somehow I don't think it's going to happen. Not after hearing some of Jon's comments anyway. But hey, only time will tell.

reunions are hard to work imo. playing some live shows its quite easy, especially when you are succesful, you play big shows and make big money. the creative process is the hardest part, where egos rival, especially now that the glass cracked...
sooner or later i want to believe their paths will cross, they ll meet in person and probably be nostalgic or truthful preferably but jon wont change neither will richie

Let's imagine a new scenario. What if the new Bon Jovi album fails, and subsequent tour also?

-Do you think that Jon make a solo album.

-Maybe make another album with another producer and a different spin on their music.

-Richie bring on the next album.

-Or nothing will change, again with John Shanks and the same type of music and to try again the same formula of the last years.

The last option, Jon has a vision and he believes in it. It's not that he still has something to prove.
