looks wise, a nice aged tele can look great but the strat is probably the most recognised electric guitar 'shape'. plus teles don't come with whammys as standard, something i couldn't live without.
where'd that coem from? told u to stop smoking the crack. i have a strat and love it. in all fairness it's a G&L and more comp[arable to a fender custom shop job but strats r great across the board.

not saying i don't like pauls either but ive got an sg thats been sitting in it's case pretty much for a year now cos of my strat.

thinking bout building myself a les paul though but i changhe my mind too much about what i want so i'm worried i'll end up with something i don't really want.

i was a bit surprised about the L5 too, really expoected his 58 V or one his his pauls to get done.

btw not being sexcist or nothign but tele's r BIG heavy lumps of wood and i don't even like having one on my shoulder for lengths of time so u might weant to take into consideration that a strats much lughter.

i prefer the strat to telecaster, but i prefer the paula to both of them...
but my favorites are the semi-acoustic gibson guitars. they are actually called jazz guitars, but they should be called BLUES guitars, cause there's nothing better to play the blues with...
well just my opinion probably

Strat and tele can be also very blues( depends also on the pikups but also the 'touch' of the guitarist).. a semi hollow body what you call blues guitars are great .. I wish the next Richie solo album will be bluesy..
you know I am old enough now to play and hear that kind of music

it's not but u know wot feminists r like. just because they're of the inferior gender they think they can claim just about anything is sexist ie not being able to hold a heavy guitar for long.

No, hambacka = someone driving a meat truck, humbucker = two single coils wrapped together.

And, also, 3 single-coils joined together = motherbucker (never seen one though - I just know they exist!!)
