Me too. Maybe, that´s what I´ve seen in the movies, all americans answer "hello".
yeah, I don't think I even know anybody who does. Anyway, we all have caller ID, so we know who is calling anyway and can customize our greeting - from 'what do you want?' to 'hey there' to 'hello' or whatever.

Yeah but that´s another case, if I see that it´s one of my friends etc. of course I answer like "hello" or "what´s up?". But if it´s an unknown number, I answer with my name.
