I have to say it wasn't bad at all, it was Prayer and Wanted acoustic and then It's my life electric. The other acts played just one song. I thoroughly enjoyed the evening. I have never been to an event like this and being there to see BJ getting an award was extra especial.

Our seats were great too, on the same side they were sitting and where they stood to receive the award.

I can't wait to see it on tv tomorrow, all the BJ fans were up on their feet when they were given the awards and during all the performance. The cameras were on us all the time.

Sounds great. I just wish I could have stayed in London for that one extra night. Work didnt allow me to take off more days off unpaid!

Sticking my pedantic hat on...The Beatles tribute was 3 songs, and I believe Brian Wilson played 2 (altho they did kind of blend into one another LOL) so I wouldn't say Jovi got much (if any) extra time as they only played half of Prayer and Wanted acoustically, and then IML.

I thought the whole evening was excellent. I enjoyed the show, it was really well put together. Can't wait to watch it on tv tomorrow.

Oops...You are right about Briam Wilson, he did 2 songs. I didn't know about The Beatles as I missed them, I left as soon as BJ finished. Sorry, my mistake!. Thanks for the correction.

i was just wondering if there will be a big video intro done for jovi, like where they have other well known music artists saying how they got infuleneced by them and how they want to get up to there level. they did the same thing for u2 and all them bands the first year of this hall of fame. they had noel gallager talking about them and stuff like that (what would he say about jovi?) just wondering if they will do anything like that!

There sure was!
Tributes to the band were made by Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Chad from Nickleback, Oprah & Joe Elliott of the top of my head.

eekk.. sure would have preferred to see musicans only in that list, as thats all that its really about in my opinion. We dont want a political connection (Clinton, Gore) or a charity connection (Oprah).. but then again Jovi aren't exactly respected at large by the musical community or the critics so i dont know who else they could have got putting a kind word in for them....
*sad violin music*

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."
