Well, apart from a few diehard Springsteen/Jovi fans, Little Steven on his own isn't a well-known person over here either.

ideally it should be a musician, someone from the music business respected etc etc but the criterias of jon seem steady and thought...
ps. springsteen bono or someone like that wouldnt be the ideal choise because they didnt really like the band...they may respect them now for some of their accomplishments but still an old friend is the way to go...
and i think jon will try to celebrate this moment with almost anyone who thinks that helped him along the way, mcghee will be invited for sure imo as well
When did Bruce or Bono ever say they don't like Bon Jovi?

I think Howard is a good choice too. It’s not unprecedented either. David Letterman inducted Pearl Jam and it went over well.

Well, more than Howarn Stern he is,you can deny it.
Someone who loves rock and roll music across Europe knows Little Steven
With Howarn Stern I cant say the same.

Anyway,I repeat,Im not against Howar Stern,I just noticed that outside the USA nobody knows who he is

Howard is OK.

He's certainly a better choice than Little Steven, for name value alone (ignore what Xavi said, I am from Europe and I know who Howard is very well). Plus, as other pointed, he likes the band and is naturally funny; thus will surely be able to deliver a good speech. It will be great if he is able to communicate the ****-you attitude towards Hall for ignoring Bon Jovi all these years.

However, I wish that it was P!nk. The whole point of the Hall (at least what the Hall is telling to the public) is to honor artists that influence younger generations and that has always been the knock against Bon Jovi (how little influence they've made for someone as commercially successful); however P!nk is the rare exception that was definitely inspired by Bon Jovi and is a very relative name in popular music. I'm sure many critically-acclaimed bands like U2 or Metallica has many fans among current popstars, but Bon Jovi doesn't so I wish they would've taken advantage of the one they have.

"Ignore what Xavi said,I am from Europe and I know who Howard Stern is"

I also know who Howard Stern is,but in spite of that, you must admit that this guy is not well known in Europe Walleris, and saying not well know I am being generous,I could have said,no one knows that guy in Europe.

It doesn't matter if he's known in Europe or not given how the rock hall is a very US centric event that will get next to zero coverage in Europe outside of a potential reunion mention.

Never seen any Hall of Fame stuff. Presumably the band play a few songs, give a speech? So, does Phil play with RS,or does just Richie play? Same with Alec and Hugh?

If they do 3 songs, I think that Richie will play on 2, maybe Wanted and Prayer/IML. I think Alec will do 1 song , probably Wanted/Prayer. Hugh will probably do IML and ( for the love of God I hope I'm wrong) Who Says because it's their only Grammy Winning song.
