Jon pulls it off that's why

Love Jons version of it. Was listening to a live performance before and I just love the way Jon holds that note at the very end.

Impressive.

What did you expect Jon to say in HIS documentary? Jeff Buckley's version is better than his version? Come on man.

I just heard the man himself sing this song - Leonard Cohen. His version these days is very close to the way Jon sings it, though he has a very different voice.

It used to be just him and a guitar but last Friday was a gorgeous version with a superb backing band.

I have no idea if there is a written quote crediting Cohen with saying that the Bon Jovi version is his favorite though. Though there should be - it's my favorite version and I first heard that song in 1991 (I think) on Cohen's album.

In which documentary does Jon say this ?

The most recent one ?

I've heard both versions but naturally prefer Jon's cover of it.

Leonard Cohen wrote an awesome song with this one.

Saw Leonard Cohen live last year at Benicassim Music Festival in SPain and all i can saw is WOOOOWW!!! wat stage precense and just all around musical genius!

a living legend! and Jovi's version really is one which gives it some justice and matches the power the original gives off...

you know...I love this song, and I LOVE Jon's version of it...but I'll never be able to listen to it ever again without thinking of the Watchmen . Is officially ruined in that respect
