Default Happy or Sad?

When BJ made TD, the guys weren't exactly all flowers and sunshine, but I think it's their best material ever. However, with Bounce and Crush I think they were in a better place, but the material was different. Not BAD, just different. So, what I'm asking is, would you have them down in the dumps so they could maybe produce another TD? Or be content with what's gonna come?

They weren't down when they produced TD. The even didn't recognize that it is such a dark album, they only realized it month later.

Jon or Richie said once it would be interesting to hear what a psyhologist says about it because they felt very good when they made the album and wonder by themselves why it became this way.

I don't want another These Days, it has way too many slow songs. I want a rock album.

umm what do you mean exactly? Bounce was a rock album but it didn't really do it for me whereas although TD wasn't as hard, it has some of they're best rock songs and riffs. Why not something different, why bother thinking about the past? I reckon a prog-rock record!haha
