They did release Bounce in the states to "rock" radio formats and it went nowhere.

I think that time is one of problems nowdays, many songs including singles in 00's are just old hits in new shoes with different concept, and by concept I mean: easy solo parts, simple backing vocals,no melody variations.

Maybe it's because BJ was always mainstream rock band who follow's music changes and try's to adopt their sound to it.

By the way this isn't just BJ's fault, quilt goes for record company guys too, cause they probably said "In 5 years we want 5 albums".

Yes,Bounce singles are covers of Crush singles in my opinion and Have a nice day single carries same concept like It's my life.
I just hope that new album set-list doesn't sound like(Make a memory can pass):

1. I love this town
2. Who says you can't go home-cover
3. Welcome to wherever you are-country version cover
4. Wildflower-cover
5. Missunderstood-country version cover
6. Open all night-country version cover
7. Mystery train-country version cover
8. She's a mystery-cover
9. Joey-country version cover
10. Two story town-cover
11. Say it isn't so-country version cover
12. You had me from hello-cover

Not a coincidence. It goes back to their first albums, the pattern you mention as well as what I call their song writing "recipe". All the hits following the same recipe of lyric, hook, lyric, hook, slow down, build up speed, Richie solo, big finish hook. No coincidences, this is what works for them repeatedly.

And in Brazil, Misunderstood was almost as big as It's my life.

On the other hand however, all my friends that only know the singles are like "BJ do the same stuff all over again" And I think that goes for many many ppl out there who do not know each and every song by heart but only the offical singles.
Very true.

I found this site that shows where all of Bon Jovi's Uk singles entered/peaked in the uk charts.

http://www.everyhit.com/searchsec.php

Dunno if that shows anything, just thought i'd mention it anyway.

Good question. I think it was one of those songs where the rock format radio stations didn't find it hard enough but yet the top 40 stations wouldn't play it because it wasn't pop enough.
