I agree with you,but there's no big solos,John voice is pitched down,lack of harmonies in backing vocals,lack of melody variations...
Just listen to "this ain't love song" and "welcome to wherever you are" and you will sense that difference is huge in favor of TD song!

That's not true. While I'm sure some of them follow this pattern, it's unfair to say that ALL the hits follow this formula. Some songs don't slow down, some have the bridge after the solo, some before, some have no solo. It's an interesting theory though, I want to look into this to see what songs are similar structure wise when I get home.

it shows that they can play any song and they sound great.....except for rap or hip-hop you get the piont!! the band is pure talent!!

Well for a start, this is only in the US, as Welcome was the 2nd single in the UK ... But yeah, what you are saying is basically right, the single releases off the last 3 albums have been far too formulaic, and also, what's the deal with only ever releasing 3 singles from an album? 15 years ago, they released 6 off Keep The Faith, is it too much to ask for just 4?

I really think the band need to change label, Mercury seem to be doing the bare minimum to push sales and promotion
