If he'd be a good actor you wouldn't notice this because of the acting. When you've seen 3 Die Hard movies and then the 6th sense from Bruce Willis you don't see John McClane in the 6th sense either.
But I still see Bruce Willis! Jon Bon Jovi as the singer of Bon Jovi is the real person, John McClane is just another character. Apart from that I agree.

bruce willis has a band or something right? when he plays do you recognise 'bruce the rockstar' or 'bruce the actor'? maybe bruce willis is a good musician (i really don't know) but i still see him as an actor. each to his own thing i guess.
jon is a bad actor because he simply can't act well. :P

He is not, i like his actiing like in row your boat, leading man, moonlight and valentino and even destination anywhere(the movie). Well yeah he is not the greatest actor but he is decent one.

I have nothing against Jon as an actor, I just don't
think the movies are very good. And it's hard to think
of him as an actor when I always think of him as a rockstar.

he's not goign to win an oscar any time in the near future but the fact he's famous fo rbeing a singe rmakes it hard for people to tak ehim seriously and avoid the idea of him being a singer trying to act.

If Richie was acting, we would still know it was Richie but alot of other people wouldn't so they just see an actor whereas everyoen see's Jon and thinks singer.

The Bruce Willis point isn't valid either because we know Bruce Willis as an actor. when we get hacks liek Russell Crowe and Johnny Depp pickign up guitars and doign the band thing we always think thats an actor playing a guitar just the same as its reversed for Jon.

he's not that good, and not bad. Jon can really act, its just that, theres no good story/project for him!

I think he is a decent actor though not a great one. The movies that he is in and the roles he plays don't help him out any. If he had better roles in better movies, I think he would be more recognized as an actor and not just a rockstar trying to act. It is a good thing that music is his number 1 priority and not movies. I don't think he really wants to make his big break in acting.

As musician Bruce Willis is way better than Jon is as actor. If Jon was half-decent he might have been casted in somewhat decent role by now. All he had were parts in crappy b-movies. What comes to mr. Willis, when doing his music-thing, I suppose his ability to act makes him to get away with it. He can "act" musician. Well, singer that is...but he chooses songs that suits him, nothing complex or flashy.
