I still believe Jon can hit all the notes. He hits high notes all the time. But who would want to hit the high notes all the time? Especially on Prayer. Jesus...the notes are high, yes, but they're also 'screaming'.. Richie does that part and doesn't scream on it. This is wise. That's what hurt Jon in the past. But I've heard him hit high notes live many times that we're not screaming.. Haven't you heard Say It Isn't So.. Even on the Crush Tour DVD (not the BEST performance, but good)..he hit them swell. Everyone suddenly thinks that because Jon chooses not to hit the notes all the time and lets his main backup singer do it..well..they think he can't hit them. Although, I don't think anyone can fully back this up at all. He's also stopped singing high sometimes because it was suggested so..not because he can't. Have you heard the screams on Love Me Back To Life..and All About Lovin' You. I hope he doesn't scream live. It bothers my vocals too.. as it does most people..screaming is never a good thing.

And the main Livin' On A Prayer part (not the highest part) is no problem for Jon. That's obvious. I think he just lets the crowd handle it, and Richie because..it's just cooler. Kind of like in "You Give Love A Bad Name"... crowd participation there. So why am I typing all this? Because I agree with Jon. He's also stated, along with many others, that he can still hit the notes. Also, I disagree with those who say he can't hit the notes..because..it's just....obvious.


So, that's it. I agree with Jon. Even without hearing it from him, I knew he could hit them. I'm sure anyone who listens to the songs can tell.

Hitting the screaming notes? Stupid. Hitting the high notes? Can be stupid at times. Saving voice? Smart!
