It wasn't. Cash died in September 2003, Last Man Standing had been written before that. It was written with Bob Dylan in mind. The writer of this article has his facts mixed up, like usual.
I was surprised to see ultimateclassicrock have an in-depth article on the band like that, but kind of knew within a few paragraphs that it had to be written by him. He's a good writer but always exaggerates and overrates the output of the band, trying to make more of it than it really is just to be able to justify how great the band in his eyes is. His fanboy-ism always ruins his articles.
