Default Have A Nice Day (the album)

I'm really into the Have A Nice Day album lately. It's a lot better than I remembered. Outstanding songs for me are Welcome To Wherever You Are, Novocaine, Story Of My Life. The live versions of Have A Nice Day and Last Man Standing are killer!

Back in 2005 I used to love it. Now I think it's their worst record of this last decade. Too much overproducted, John Shanks didn't do a great job in my opinion. They left out nice songs instead of others.
Yes, there are some good songs, as the title track, Last Man Standing, I Am, Bells Of Freedom and Dirty Little Secret, but the rest is boring. I like the lyrics in Novocaine, but the rest? It would have been better with Nothing and These Open Arms.

Also think that the first version of Have A Nice Day (the song) is better than the official one. I like it too, but the first one is more aggressive.

In my opinion, this is the list of the albums I like the most from 2000:

1. Crush
2. The Circle
3. Bounce
4. Lost Highway
5. Have A Nice Day

I didn't really find it that over produced but I tend to compare it to Bounce which was WAY more over produced. I still love HAND. It's a very streamlined album, all the songs are in a more similar genre than Bounce's free-for-all. The lyrics and rhymes are pretty meh at times though.

I think HAND was great. Better than LH and The Circle in my opinion. Great songs and loved the tour. LMS as an opener is still tops (especially when JBJ starts in rear on platform). My greatest Jovi show to date (I've seen alot of good ones) was the HAND Tour in Vegas at MGM. Epic show.

The title track is one of my favourite songs from the band (top 5), and I also love I Want to be Loved, DLS and These Open Arms. The other enjoyable songs are of course Last Man Standing and I Am.

The middle ground which I dont mind listening to are WTWYA, Story of my Life, Last Cigarette, Bells of Freedom and Unbreakable. I even dont mind Who Says on the occasion (I just hate how much it gets played live).

Then there is the bad. I dont even remember the last time I listened to Novocaine, Complicated and Wildflower. A lot of people like Novocaine but I still dont get the appeal of it.

All IMO of course.

It definitely has it's flaws, but overall it's not a terrible album. I prefer HAND to Bounce and even more so Crush.

1. The Circle
2/3. HAND/LH
4. Bounce
5. Crush

I like HAND a lot. Wasn't really an instant grab you album but has some gems. I would put it on a par with The Circle but that's just my opinion. HAND, WTWYA, Story Of My Life..even Complicated, Wildflower & Novocaine which I see a lot a people have a dislike of, have really grown on me. In fact I'm not too sure that there is a song on the HAND album that I wouldn't listen to on a regular basis. A very good album and very much under appreciated in my opinion.

I love HAND. Loved it when it came out & i still love it. It's quite possibly my favorite album post 2000. If not, then it's definitely number 2 on the list.

It's definitely a great album. The title track, Last Man Standing, Novocaine, Who Says, and I Wanna Be Loved are all great tracks. Third favorite album of the decade, if I'm putting an order.

1. Crush
2. Bounce
3. Have a Nice Day
4. The Circle
5. Lost Highway

I like HAND a lot, but I don't think it's great. I'll always have a soft spot for it, as it came out my senior year of high school and a lot of the songs had special meaning to me at the time, but I'd objectively put it in the middle of the pack as far as the Post-2000's albums. (Not nearly as good as Crush or The Circle, but better than Lost Highway or Bounce) Novocaine, Last Cigarette, and Have A Nice Day are all in my Jovi Top 50, and the only songs I don't really like are Wildflower, WSYCGH, and Complicated.

Top 5 On The Album:
1. Novocaine
2. Last Cigarette
3. Have A Nice Day
4. I Am
5. Story Of My Life
