Movie critics by and large disagree with you on Jon's acting abilities. Maybe that's what really disturbs so many fans--he gets great reviews for his acting, much better than for the band's music. Jon has already won a Best Newcomer award for his acting and the majority of his reviews are positive.
I think his own fans are harder on him than non-fans. We know him as Jon Bon Jovi and it's harder for us to see him as a character. But I can say the same thing for any actor I'm vaguely familiar with. If I go see Tom Hanks in a movie, I'll go out saying "Tom Hanks did this." It's easier to remember the actor than the name of the character. Does that mean Tom Hanks is a bad actor? No.

If jon someday will have success in hollywood every movie journalist probably will say that it's because his good looks or because his a rockstar. Aren't he afraid that he will be (or already are) just another musician that's trying on to be an actor.
great actors like tom hanks, robert de niro, brad pitt (yes he his good!) and so on will always be the big names in hollywood so why even try? I mean low budgets movies like vampire los muertos (or what it's called) aren't something to be proud over!
I think that jon should spend the rest of his career to repair the gap he has greated between his former rock image and his new mainstream-vh1 image!
but he should of course do what he likes, and I will probably watch every one of his movies, just because he is jon bon jovi...
