Yeah I'll give the man his due's some simple but really effect riffs in songs like American Idiot and Holiday. Plus the outro to Boulevard is brilliant, as for their career they hit it big with Dookie (x9 platnium in the US) and after that its been a steady run much like Bon Jovi in terms of album sales as far as I know then of course the might American Idiot has them back in the mainstream. Many of the punk fans who did like them call them a pop band now but if the music's good whatever...
