TLFR. OH MY F**KING GOD!....honestly I can say it's one of the worst albums I have ever heard. Not a single positive thing to say about it.
I agree I don't really care for that album at all. I would have rathered seen them doing an acoustic like they said they were gonna do then this sh*t.

nowadays i hate JBJ!!!!

hmmmm I am not a blind jon lover ... but I think that Jon is essential for BON JOVI (I didn't thay ONLY him is essential ) but to hate him is so too excessive ... to have problem with him with his personna with his image is totally acceptable to don't like this or that is ok to hate him is too much ...because without him bon jovi would not exist ...
I admit that there is a change between before and after 1998 (for me it's not just until TD )... I would put intentionally Destination Anywhere solo work into the before period ... since Crush until today yes Jon is like a different person ... and sometimes watching interviews or videos it's really like there is no more connections between the 2 guys beside the name is the same ...

So, is Jon not allowed to change and evolve as a human being? He must stay exactly the same, year after year?
How does that make sense?

I said Donna this *sometimes watching interviews or videos it's really like there is no more connections between the 2 guys beside the name is the same ...* did I say it is good or bad ? did I say I don't want him to evolve ? I just say what is written ...if you want to interprete this as an attack toward Jon this is your problem not mine

I am looking for some VALID opinions here, out of sheer curiosity.

So here we go:

What was it about this BAND that orginally drew you to the music?
Guess I have to say it was the first time I heard the band on radio...just loved the sound of the song, the music, the harmony of their voices [Bad Name, 1987]

Quote:
What is it that Keeps you a fan now?
The same thing that drew me to them in the first place..just like The Stones have a 'sound', U2 has a 'sound'...BJ have a 'sound'...and it's a sound I like.

Quote:
what songs would you like to see disappear from the setlist?
"Shout", "Bad Name" [or at least rotate it with something else from Slippery or NJ that doesn't get 'aired' anymore], "Captain Crash" and for LYHOM to make random appearances rather than have a regular spot. Some have said LOAP/Wanted...I can't imagine a BJ show without them myself.

What made me a fan was the uniqueness of the band's sound. They're very talented and creative which is a lot more than I can say for most bands around these days. As for what keeps me a fan, I'm not quite sure because I've only considered myself a fan for a little over two years. I guess as long as they're making music, I'll be around.

What was it about this BAND that orginally drew you to the music?

Wanted Dead or Alive on the radio. I didnt have MTV, so I didnt see the band, just liked the music on the radio.

What is it that Keeps you a fan now?

The hope that they still have another album as good as Keep The Faith and These Days in them. And, Jon's ass

WHAT I'D WANT TO SEE OUT OF THE SET?

It's not so much what they need to take OFF the set list, as what they need to put back IN their shows. I'd like see impromptu covers, more guitar solo's, extended jams, Richie doing a couple of his own songs, and the passion for performing that was their back in the day. The shows have energy, but they seem over-rehearsed, and unspontaneous.

So if it's not you who decides this, why the comment about VALID opinions than?

Where do you get your FACTS from then? How is it a fact Sebastian, Because YOU say it is? That doesn't make it a fact, that makes it your opinion. When you accuse him of things he hasn't done, then I get irritated, if your going to accuse someone of something, have the FACTS to back it up and I will DISCUSS it with you on an intelligent level. That's all I ask.
I've always posted the facts. But a lot of people can't deal with the facts I post and start bashing me for my opinion about it. You are the one who can't discuss my opinion and start "ooh it's Seb causing a stir don't listen to him" kinda sh1t. Not me.

What actually do you want to discuss? The opinion from someone? Like "I want to discuss why you became a fan of Bon Jovi because of These Days" It's not going to work, there's nothing to discuss in this topic. :s
That's your opinion, don't join the discussion then. :s
It's not my opinion, it's a question with an explanation why I think that way. And you haven't answered this, and still nothing has been discussed. If you think posting answers to questions is a way to discuss, you have a weird way of discussing, which is why you're not so good at it.

What was it about this BAND that orginally drew you to the music?

Just great rock music. SWW, NJ, KTF and TD are great albums. Hardly a weak track on all those 4 CDs. Bon Jovi also write a lot of songs that I can relate to as well which helps.

What is it that Keeps you a fan now?

Because Bon Jovi still rock live and I'm keeping the faith because Bon Jovi are still making good songs, they just need to rock a little more I think, which hopefully they will with the new album.

What songs would you like to see disappear from the setlist?

With Bon Jovi its more of a case of what other songs I'd like to cram in. There are so many good songs in their catalogue, and I like hearing all the ones that they play at the moment. Although I think they should add more variety to their setlist and change it more from gig to gig. That way the fans have no idea what songs they're gonna play (apart from the obvious ones like Prayer, Wanted, Bad Name, KTF, It's My Life, etc) but they know that it's gonna be great because Bon Jovi has so many great songs to choose from. Personally I'd definately like to hear more material from These Days and Keep The Faith.
