Definitely one of my favourite songs ever, and I think even live nowadays it's still amazing.

That song, ah it's an anthem, it should be considered as one of the best ever written songs in rock history!

I was there and can absolutely vouch for this.

Hi to all! I'm new here. I'm interested if anyone knows if Tico uses double bass pedal here (between 6:39 - 6:44)? Sorry on my bad English :/

Thank you!

Yep, he uses the double bass pedal at the end of KTF live too.

I'm going to be the odd-ball here but it's not one of my favorites.

However, I like the song more now than I did back then. Back then, I was comparing it against their prior catalog, whereas today, I'm comparing against their newer stuff.

I agree the song rocks and the MTV performance is kick-ass but for me, it's just ok.

STBI and TAALS are my 2 favorites off the album

Totally love the song, has a special meaning to me.

It was cool to hear it in Munich 2008 as a rarity whereas in Mannheim last year the performance was so good it just blew me away!!!

The performance in Mannheim I think was the single best song I have ever seen Bon Jovi perform live in all of the 16 shows I've seen from Bon Jovi. Closely followed by I Believe in Lisbon.

To say they can't pull it off live is crap.

Seen them play it live a couple of times on various tours, heard numerous bootleg versions, and yes, sometimes it comes across better than other times. Yet it's never quite as good as on record. Jon was never able to pull off those vocals, not even in 1995. And I often thought that Richie's playing is never even remotely as clean as it should be. On These Days, it is very clinical, all the instruments are coming together perfectly. Live, it just sounds a bit too sloppy for my taste. Doesn't mean I don't enjoy it.

This one here:

This is way to heavy stuff for MTV awards, and they pulled it off as just an album track at that point. I so miss the Bon Jovi that would simply do that. I can't believe it's the same band, writing songs with Big and Rich nowadays. Just sad.

Anyhow, I think it's the band's heaviest song overall. And it's one of the three songs that made me a Bon Jovi fan in the first place so it will always have a special meaning. The others are I Believe and Someday I'll be Saturday Night.
Although I think the song is just ok, that performance was great.
I guess everybody gets old eventually.
