Default Hey God live Lyrics

In the version of Hey God played in London 95, Jon sings something different where he usually says, "There are nights you know I want to scream," and I can't understand what he's saying. Can anyone tell me what he's singing?

I noticed that too, I don't know why he changed it.

To me it sounds like;

"These nights are longer than they seem"

instead of

"These nights you know I want to scream"

Anybody ever heard a version where, as the song winds down, Jon mutters a few times, 'Bless Me Father, for I have sinned...'??

He also sings "blew some punk away" instead of "blew some cop away".

The Yokohama 19th May 96 version has that (plus I think most of the 96 performances do too).

The one I heard was from Melbourne in '95, so yeah, the same time really. But what is he getting at saying it?
