Highlights from Full Billboard Article
I picked up Billboard today to get the full article of the one that is partially on line. It's a long article, but here are a few highlights:
Lyor Cohen who is the CEO of Island/Def Jam says they have a mission for this CD--putting Bon Jovi over the 100 million mark. He says they're launching a marketing campaign that will keep the band highly visible in a "huge, huge way." This includes the NFL Kickoff, the today show, specialty programing for VH1 AND MTV, and an extensive tour.
"People who were skeptical last time are now rooting for them. They want to see this band win. They see what a great, talented guys they are, and they want to embrace that in a big way." --Lyor Cohen
And this will make some of you very happy to hear:
"It's nice to have both music and acting in my life. But I could never choose acting over music," he (JON) continues. "I need to write songs. I need that outlet, or I'll go crazy. And the longer I write, the more personal it becomes for me."
