Homebound Train sucks.

I can't even remember how it goes, that's how long refused to listen to it again for Only one other song has got that far - She's A Mystery.

Oh and Stick To Your Guns too. Forgot about that.

Oh how I love "Homebound Train"! The riff, the vocals, the energy...

I remember when it was played once in 2001 I told a friend, who has most of their CDs, how I would freak out if they would play it at a concert I attended. He went home, listened to it and told me "It's not the best song there is". He just didn't get it. Ok, it is not the best song there is, but I'm thankful it exists. Hopefully they'll keep it at least until Paris!

Was never a big fan of the song back in the day. The Woo Hoo's annoyed me too.

This time though, I too have a new appreciation for it. I think it is a wonderful song for Richie to perform. His voice give it an extra something that seems to work really well.

Mark me down as another one who really disliked the song until I heard Richie doing it. Since hearing Richie's version, I've started to like the song a bit more on New Jersey but I still don't like it that much. I wanna hear Richie sing it, not Jon.

This song just ROCKS !!! I love it as I love the whole New Jersey album start to finish.

I miss the harmonica solo Jon did at the live versions. And it is nice how Jon and Richie got inspired with Travellin' Band (song they played many times on the SWW tour)

When I was just a boy
The devil took my hand
Took me from my home
He made me a man

It has more attitude in the riffs and lyrics than most Jovi songs and is a perfect choice for big RS. I wonder if it was Jon or Richie's idea. I can imagine Richie going 'I'm a bit sick of be there for you now, man... I need something fresh for this tour'.
