Actually, Jon has always listed Southside Johnny as his major influence as a frontman. Jon says S. Johnny is to blame for everything Jon does on stage. It looks like Bruce takes from S. Johnny quite a bit too. Maybe the Jersey thing.

yes your right letitrock. All the richies fans know he is going to be on the left (as we look at the band - and right of Jon from the stage) and everyones goes to that point so they can see him as much as poss. There are many richie fans out in that audience. Richie ie a legend!

You know I am a major Jon fan and I also want to be on the left because

1) I can still see Jon perfectly, 2) Jon spends a lot of time on the left side of the stage, 3) Huey is not the band member, 4) Dave is my least fav band member.

:::Back to the Orignal Topic::::

i got my Yokohoma bootleg in the mail today. (i traded for mine) and yes, the crowd is very annoying when they don't clap in time with the music. but other than that, it sounds a lot better than the songs i download from the file sharing forum. as far as audience recordings so, i would probably rate this as B. i can hear the band through the whole thing. what songs can you not hear the band in?

If it disturbes you that people sing along and clap maybe a rock concert is the wrong place for you and you should go to an opera or something like this. A Rock concert is something where the audience is involved with and not just a performance where everything only happens on the stage like in an opera.

i'm all for audience participation - but you have to admit it can get annoying when people sing along "word for word" verses and all to the songs
This is what the Americans band loves of the European audience. That they know all the words and not only the verses. It's absolutely not annoying but great.

when it comes to Richie's guitar solo everyone just screams there heads off because jon folds his arms or something silly

??
I don't know, I have no idea what Jon does because 99 % of the time of the concert Richie has my attention and not Jon.

I have a bootleg from japan (bounce tour) and it sounds great, almost no clapping or screaming just the band. a bit boring but you can really hear how good they are live.

no Thomas Anderson, bruce has better lyrics then bon jovi.

I think that Jons introductions speaches (espcially the one in stockholm 2001) is very similar to Sprinsteens introductions speaches.

1st of all i'd just like to re-quote myself here:

Rock concerts aren't supposed to be about people singing along and clapping - that is virtually the definition of a pop concert...

yes audience participation is essential but not to the extent where it overshadows the band themselves... there were times at Milton Keynes where you literally could not here the band over the crowd (and they have amplifiers !!!)...

i'm all for audience participation but if that really must be the case then only IF the band turns the volume up a hell of a lot on stage

again no offense - but i spend a lot of money to hear jon sing & above all to see/hear richie play guitar (not the guy next to me "singing" the guitar melody)...

i don't pay to hear the crowd singing flat out of key all the time in a drunken/untalented banter...

arghhh - that's what I'm trying to say... I keep my eyese and ears on Richie but you can't miss the fact that noone else does the same (you can hear the screams for Godsake). Even down to TV broadcasts of shows (let alone audience camera shots) - during the beginnings of the solos the camera focuses on Jon

As long as it has 5.1, I'll be happy. My DVD Player and surround sound only supports 5.1, no DTS, but I don't care. 5.1 is still great quality, and unless you have more expensive equipment (more than mine, lol), then you probably wouldn't notice much difference between standard 5.1 and DTS.
Well 'my home entertainment set' supports DTS.
(ok it's not actualy mine, but from my parents, but hey )
