Default How about we record a Bon Jovi song together?

Aloha !

Anyone else on here able to record his musical capabilities? I've been recording a lot of my own songs lately but thought this might be a fun thing to do.

Someone does a verse, some do a chorus, someone else does the next verse, some will do backing vocals, some will play rhythm guitar/lead guitar, maybe someone's able to play keys?

I've seen it happen on other music boards and sometimes the result is quite good. No, I'm not thinking of some final polished up product but maybe something simple like Love For Sale could work? Often the problem are drums but if anyone's able to do some drumming and record their stuff that'd be great.

Who we've got so far:

SEB: You've been robbed
SEB: You've been used
SEB: You've been crucified and abused
SEB: You've been sacrificed and now you're confused
SEB: Ain't that the truth, yeah... yeah

ROC: You've got a hole in your head
ROC: And this cold empty spot in your big brass bed
ROC + NIG: When you're mad at the world and you feel like you're losing control
ROC + NIG: All you need to get by is a little bit of soul

ROC + NIGE: Whoa oh
NIG: little bit of soul, yeah

NIG: Now when you're lost in the flood
NIG: When you feel like you've been kicked in the mud
NIG + ICE: You know they still haven't found the drug to pick us up

ICE: You're feeling down, misunderstood, I know
ICE: That these times they ain't no looking so good
ICE + THU: When you're mad at the world and you feel like you're losing control
ICE + THU: All you need to survive's a little bit of soul, yeah

ICE + THU: Whoa oh little bit of soul
ICE + THU: Whoa oh little bit of soul

?: Here we go!

SEB + THU : Everyone's complaining
SEB + THU : Nothing but frustration
SEB + THU : The king has pissed in
SEB + THU : Your pot of gold
? + ?: It ain't entertaining spending so much time in the hole

?: Loud, take a little bit of...

?: Whooh!

ROC + ?: Mad at the world and you feeling like youre losing control, I know, I know
ROC: All you need to survive is a little bit of soul
ROC + THU: Whoah, little bit of soul
ROC + SEB: Whoah, a little bit of soul
ROC: C'mon, c'mon
ROC + NIG: Whoah, a little bit of soul
ROC + ICE: Whoah...

SEB: Lord won't you send me down, a little bit of soul

THU: Send down
THU: A little bit o soul

?: Alright, alright, little bit...

Ad libs:
?: In my veigns, burst like fire, through my veigns, I know.
ROC: Take me home yeah, take me home yeah,
?: I need,
?: just a little bit
?: just a little bit
?: just a little bit

ROC: Hear me
ROC: I need a little bit of loving dancing, screaming, bleeding, teasing, baby,
ROC: Aow, I need a little bit of soul...

Don't think you're not good enough for this, if you do backing vocals with someone else you can disguise your shaky voice quite well. So, anyone up for this? If you are, please list what you're capable of.

I'm down for it!

I'm pretty descent with Fruity Loops with real samples. It's not 100%, but it is far from a poor substitute. Here is my take on BrokenPromiseLand... drums kick in on the 2nd verse.

Yeah, I'm in as well, if needed. I can play guitars or bass, sing, whatever.

I really liked this until the drums really started. After that it started sounding computerized, the drums just didn't sound real. No drummer would ever play like that. But I liked the stripped down feel and your (?) voice worked well when you're not trying to rough it up.

I'm no drummer... I just do what I do with what I got. If we have a drummer on here with the recording equipment, we should absolutely use him/her.

Hey man, that sounds awesome and there are drummers who play like this but they mostly play in orchestra's (like my own). There's always room for improvement but I think you did an awesome job and that it sounds very good!

When it comes to recording the song. I'm in to record whatever is needed (higher voice, harmonica, saxophone). I'll probably head over to my brother for this project to make the recording sound the same. Anyway, I'm in.

I salute you,
TS

Aloha !

Alright the four of us should be capable of creating something, any song suggestions? They can't be too high because even though you might be able to sing in a higher register others might not be, this resulting in you singing lead all the time which kinda defeats the purpose.

This doesn't mean anyone else is excluded, the more singers we have the more you can do with vocal arrangements. The same with guitar, who says Love For Sale can't have a guitar battle in the end?

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I'll do what I'm best at, backing vocals and catering.
Song suggestions?
Love for Sale could work, Satellite perhaps, Wild is the Wind or is that too positive thinking?

I salute you,
TS

Considering you're female it'd be a welcome addition to the vocal lines. Do you know how to record vocals though?
