Every effort, as good or bad as it is, is appreciated

I think WITW would be awesome! Just have the high peeps share the chorus and the lower registered people sing the verses and bridge.

I also like LBOS and LYHOM...

Anyone here hate Next 100 Years? It is low and is written with jam at the end.

Someone does a verse, some do a chorus, someone else does the next verse, some will do backing vocals, some will play rhythm guitar/lead guitar, maybe someone's able to play keys?

I've seen it happen on other music boards and sometimes the result is quite good. No, I'm not thinking of some final polished up product but maybe something simple like Love For Sale could work? Often the problem are drums but if anyone's able to do some drumming and record their stuff that'd be great.

Who we've got so far:

Supersonic;
- Vocals
- Lead Guitar
- Rhythm Guitar

Bounce 442:
- Vocals
- Lead Guitar
- Rhythm Guitar
- Harmonica
- Keyboards

Iceman:
- Vocals
- Lead Guitar
- Rhythm Guitar
- Bass Guitar

Thunderstrucker:
- Vocals
- Saxophone
- Harmonica

Don't think you're not good enough for this, if you do backing vocals with someone else you can disguise your shaky voice quite well. So, anyone up for this? If you are, please list what you're capable of.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
Great idea Seb. Wind and Lay Your Hands would be my choice. If you're after someone on the keys/Hammond organ then I'm your man

Jovitalk becomes Jovisings this way. I see some nice suggestions of songs.
Little Bit of Soul might, according to Supersonic and I agree, the best song to do first perhaps to see how things go with an easy song that has room for other instruments.

I salute you,

Little Bit Of Soul sounds easy enough. Lay Your Hands On Me is a hard song to play right and with this sort of arrangement of players I'm not convinced we could make it work. Or something like Wanted, YGLABN or LOAP. I'd Die For You would be nice as well.

But first someone needs to build the basic track, some sort of drum/click track for the tempo and parts. A little guitar or keyboards wouldn't hurt. And of course we need to be sure of the tuning. It has to be exactly A-440Hz for everyone to be able to participate. Especially the keyboards can be tricky if the tuning is even slightly off.

I've no experience with recording with others, but wouldn't someone just recording the chords as a basic track be good enough? Just re-record the chords while playing along to the studio version should do, right? You can always edit some things here and there and stretch things out. That's the way I do it when I mess up the odd chord here and there or want a longer mid section.

Salaam Aleikum,

That's a great idea!

I got a new 8 track mixing console/audio interface just some days ago but haven't been able to figure out how it works yet as I'm in the middle of my exams right now.

But if I'll find some time any time soon I'd love to participate in this, too

I could also add some keyboard/piano/organ tracks, whatever is required. My playing shouldn't be too bad as we do some BJ songs in my cover band, too (we play Runaway, Bad Name and Prayer). I'd also do some background vocals, but don't have a microphone at the place where I study

If I could suggest a song... what about Runaway? We could use the end or expand the solo part for jamming purposes

I can play drums to a fairly mediocre standard () but I don't know how to record? And my drum kit sounds pretty bad by the way!

I don't have any experience with the Postal Service type of recording either. But here are a few things I can suggest:

Everyone get a free Dropbox account to share the tracks.
Once we pick a song, we will need a firm tempo. 100bpm or 120 bpm for example.
Pick someone to host and mix.
