Default How much of their fan base the band will gain/lose with TLFR

Poll Question: How much of their fan base the band will gain/lose with TLFR?

Now, put your personal feelings about the record aside. Think in a global kind of way.

Was TLFR a right thing to do? Was it a mistake? And if a mistake, how much is it going to cost them?

I think neither nor. I don't think they will loose fans who are faithful for years just because of one album. All people I spoke to who are longtime faithful fans said that this album doesn't change their fandom. They don't like this album but since it will not be the future of BJ they are okay with it. The next album will be better again.

I also don't think they will get new fans. New people don't get to hear it, it is not played on the radio or TV so no new people get to know about it.

I agree. It won't help, but it won't hurt either.

No gain: simply because the album is just one piece of s**t

No loss: because most people are smart enough NOT to dump the band because of one lousy release.

though........IF there's going to be another NEW album in the future, if it proves to be unsatisfying, then I'd believe there will be losses....

Looks like most people agree. No gain / no loss. Not enough airplay to gain new fans, and any of the true fans who don't like the album will wait for some new stuff to come out, and continue to enjoy the rest.

don't think they'll lose or gain any fans with TLFR, it`s to different than any thing else from BJ. I think if someone recognizes BJ for the first time with TLFR he wount like the old stuff cause than he would have recognized them before
