If so, and each CD has the standard 12-15 tracks or so, why should it cost as much as £60? These are tracks that Bon Jovi didn't deem good enough to put on their major albums but are prepared to release as a compilation for the price you'd expect to pay for a major album?
mate your saying it like bon jovi are a fan based band, they're not. bon jovi is a buisness.

it IS all about the money. nothing more. if you think otherwise then ffs wake up!

yes it is a chance for them to clear the archives and give the fans some raw rare tracks. but its about the money, box sets are usually always riddled with rare unreleased demos but they're certainly not 'for the fan' type projects, bon jovi just have some front to call it that.

if it costs £60, you, and me, and everyone else is very very lucky. if it costs less, wow, even better but most 4 CD sets retail [ON RELASE if neil wants to argue] at £60, this is 4 CDs and a DVD. You will actually find the KISS 5 disc set retaild at virgin for £90 when released and that was a universal release as this box set will be.

Well if you are talking about prices in Virgin or HMV or such places sure they will be more expensive. Single disc albums in there can be £16, even after years of release.

If you'd do a price check online before just quoting prices from the expensive outlets maybe you'd see that not everything is as expensive as you think it is.

I just think that it seems whenever you quote a price for something you find it from the most expensive possible store, lol

i dont mate, dont forget i worked in a record shop for long enough too, i know what price things come in at and virgin or a tiny indie store dont get them cheapeter between them, they're distributed by the same companies at the same price, the net also gets them at the same price. with quoting box sets i would of got them offline if they were cheaper but they wernt, i quoted the sale price when they came out, when i got them!, of course now they're cheaper and so will the BJ set if u want to wait over a year for it.......
