So what does that make those who think he isn't talented? They must really be some untalented hacks,t otherwise they'd be at least as successful as he is.

Being fluent in written music and being able to arrange music for an orchestra are two very different things.

And of course Jon is talented. Just not at playing instruments.

Richie may kick Bobbys ass when it comes to guitar, but when it comes to facial expression, Bobby really gives Richie a match.

Bobert's is almost the same every time. Much like his playing I guess (Boom Boom). The one face one note guitar player, giving "You Gave Love a Bad Name" a bad name since 2013.

Musical talent has almost zero to do with being famous. Talent doesn't get you anywhere. Ask anyone in the music business. Talent alone has never made anyone famous,

If having a kick ass voice is a talent, he sure was talented. Not anymore though.

Maybe now he is really talented at making money? I mean he can't sing for shit but he still makes a lot of money out of touring.

For a period of time 20 some years ago, he was the most talented rock singer in my books. Sadly he seems to have lost that talent. He is also a very talented songwriter, I think. He doesn't always show it anymore, but he has really shown that talent many times in the past.

As far as guitar playing goes, he's barely decent. I consider myself a decent player, and I can probably play as good as him if not better. But that's all he needs to be as a lead singer. As long as he can hold his own with strumming chords, he does his job.
