sorry to step in, but is is equally hard to take seriously all you head-so-stuck-up-jons-gorgeus-butt-that-you-cant-hear-the-music-so-everything-rocks kind of people.
I said that aswell. Go back and read some of my old posts and you'll see I'm not one of those people. Sure, I have never been let down by any Bon Jovi release (even TLFR) but I can easily criticize this band when I feel it's deserved. Like I said earlier, Jon's vocal performance at the Borgata in 2004 was dreadful, but yesterday he was great. You could see he was really pushing himself to do the best he could.

and you could just as well admit that "the best he could" is somewhat poor performance.

But being as big as they are you'd expect them one of the best on such a show, but they weren't. They were far from being really good, in fact, just another band, not the big Bon Jovi one would expect.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
You never have a good thing to say about the band, so why even bother?!

so, I* guess no one takes each other seriously and continue to go round and around each others opinion which will always be diferent and neither of you will change what you think?
is it fun?

No, I and many, many, many................................many others agree that it was an excellent performance. You didn't think so. Too bad. Almost everybody else, fans and non-fans, would disagree with you though.

Anytime someone says something positive it seems you lump them into a "Jon is hot" category.

I really can't find the explanation why you disagree with me in this:

Quote:
Ya know it's funny Seb, you moan and moan about backstagers who do nothing but blindly lavish praise on the band and can't be taken seriously but you're just as bad. You do nothing but criticize the band, sometimes completely warrented, most times not, but the fact is you do nothing but post negative comments about them. Yeah, your not the same as the backstagers, but you are just as bad.
So you didn't. Now tell me why you disagree, or again, otherwise just shut up.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Becky,
No I don't lump them anywhere, they do it themselves. Fans or not, people should be bit more critical. Shite dont turn to gold no matter how much they love it.

Well here's an example:

No, he didn't do prayer perfectly.
IML great? nope. boring and spiritless.

Saying so, ur either blinded by his excellence, or have bad case of wax in your ears. Sorry, no offence intended.

So you really think that 19 year old male likes LOAP because he thinks Jon is hot? Sure, it's possible that he thinks Jon is hot, but not probable.

I get tired of people assuming that fans only like music based on what the singers look like. It happens all the time, especially to female fans. I can be critical and I am critical when I think it's warranted (ask me about OWN sometime ), but I do like more than I dislike--otherwise, I'd be listening to someone else and posting on their message boards. Liking something doesn't mean you're blinded by the musician's looks. Maybe it amounts to a difference in taste and what you honestly don't like someone else honestly does like regardless of what the singer/guitarist/whatever looks like. It's not fair to assume that person only likes something based on shallow reasons.

Becky

I thought they playd great but no interaction with the fans, saying no word they just seemed like going on stage doing their job and going home again, it`s ok for an award show but for Live 8 I thought they didn`T care for the reason of the event
