Of course Hugh has got more than one bass! Remember that he's a studio musician from the 70's and surely he hasn't played just a single bass in 30 yrs!
For example look at the Crush Tour video, the bass is different from the one he's handling in the Everyday and Misunderstood videos. Look at the bass he played in the Live from London video. Look at all the videos from 1995 to now and you'll see that he has more than one bass in his collection!
