Yes. Again, a very straightforward answer from Hugh which simply CAN NOT be interpreted. What the heck???

Hey! I read that you wrote the bass line
to "keep the faith."
I love that bass line. I've been trying to figure out how to play
it on the trombone (I know; weird, isn't it?) Just another question,
did you right any other bass lines to bon jovi songs? Allen

Yes
I never said Alec wrote it. I just said that Richie wrote the line for Prayer and I still think I am right.

Hi, 'm a big fan of Bon Jovi.....I love Alec...and I love
your playing too... Probably a stupid question....I
wanted to know what Bon Jovi albums you actually
played on. Were you their studio hire from the very
first album???? Cheers, Shayne New Zealand

Yes......a stupid question
WOW! Now that made me truly think that Hugh probably even wrote the albums for Bon Jovi.

Hello
My name is Andreas and i'm from Switzerland.
I've seen that you worked since the first Bon Jovi Album in the band. But
what excatly did you do because the official Bassplayer at this time was
Alec? Did you play the second bass or another instrument?
Thanks for answering and keep rockin'
I played the bass in the studio.

"...on all the songs and even the demos" - now if he said that, that would prove your point. He doesn't. It's just ambiguous bullshit. Hugh never says something directly. I am sure if Alec had a website he'd be telling the same: "I played on all albums"

Wrong again.

Amazing! You seem to be more and more frustrated Ice. Either put some effort in what you post or let it be. "Wrong again" doesn't prove anything but the fact that you are a pedantic wannabe rock 'n' roll expert. You aren't (excepting the "pedantic" part).

If this had happened one year ago you would have noticed that in my previous post there was one typo and in Supersonic's there was one as well and based on this you would've made a much more valid argument.

Aloha !

For ****'s sake the guy just answered more questions about this than you could ever imagine and yet you refuse to believe that it's Huey who played bass on most of the albums and not the one who can not live up to your fantasies.

Yeah, even though Huey has given more information about this than anyone else in the band, you have your own truth. Well done.

It looks like you don't want to hear Huey saying that he did play, but you want to hear Alec saying he didn't play on those albums. You claiming that it isn't Huey is like a backstager claiming that Jon can still sing Prayer. Both don't make any sense.

And this is exactly why, like Ice says, you're wrong again.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Huey says he wrote all the bass lines on all the songs he played on. He played on Prayer, thus he wrote the bass line. Same goes for every song he played. Since he played on all the albums except Fahrenheit (which was, BTW recorded almost a full year after the first album), he's written a lot of basslines for Bon Jovi. Alec has never claimed to have written one. Why would either of them lie?

Just because it's hard to find the quote where Huey says he played on all of Slippery doesn't mean it didn't happen. There's also a quote by Jon saying that Alec didn't play anything at all in the studio since Fahrenheit. And a recording from the DA tour where Jon says Huey played on "everything" since Runaway. How much more would it take to convince you? You don't need to answer, it's rethoric, I already know that you think you're right.

haha.. the name of the thread is Richie vs Country but here we are talking about Hugh vs Alec?

Hugh wrote and recorded a lot of them. Either way, it's irrelevant, just like his position in the band.

Really? One would think the guy's bass lines on the songs we love over 20+ years would be QUITE relevant. At least more so than Bobby's guitar low in the mix this tour. Hugh is much more than a Bandiera. To me, at least. If Boby is still around 20 years later, THEN we'll talk.

Ok... So you guys think, that Hugh has written and played every BJ song except those from 7800. Then why are you blame Alec as the untalented bassplayer? Did you ever heard any BJ concert? And did Alec made any mistake? Live his just great.
And then... Born To Be My Baby video shows BJ in the studio while recording the song. And there's Alec
And finaly... If that's true, that Hugh had played on BJ records, not Alec... Hugh is the most stupid guy on the planet... What a succer... C'mon... And if it's true, other bandmembers are all liars.. And this should be the greatest rock'n'roll scandal...

Wow. I don't even know how to comprehend what you've just said.

And I really don't think the BTBMB video was them ACTUALLY in the studio recording that song/album.

I personally prefer Hugh, from all the live stuff I've seen, but that's just me.
I'm an odd duck =p
