Hurricane Butterfly (unreleased song)

I'll never understand Rolo's obsession with two songs that might have never left the demo stage.

It's for the title, it's so cool.


Maybe Jon play an acoustic version of Hurricane Butterfly on the next Runaway Tour show, it would not be the first time something similar happens.

When has Jon ever played old unreleased tracks live?

I do not think Hurricane is so old, it may be part of something that is to come.

Not running, Old habits, Reunion, was played before the launch. Also others like Older, Hush or Lifes Too Short For Days in the nineties.


I still think that something new have to offer for the next year or maybe for this Christmas?

I hope some fan asks about Hurricane Butterfly and about a possible release of new music in the Q & A of the show.

Why would Jon play it live? To satisfy the requests of fives of people who even know it exists? It was a demo that leaked and we're not supposed to have it, sometimes that's all there is to it.

It is possible, but we are fans, and curiosity is still in the air, at least for me. Only 20 seconds were filtered. I want to listen to those songs that did not reach the album and I believe that I am not alone with this thoughts.


EDIT: Also, maybe this is silly, but I tried to upload this fragment to youtube and it was erased very quickly, this has not happened on other occasions like Burn With Me and other leaks, so I'm assuming that maybe there's a plan to launch it officially and UMG's rights protection acts to block it.

I think you are a very wishful thinker but okay.

I don't think Jon wants to die with all those unreleased songs in the vault... I think there is a plan to get some more stuff out but it's just a matter of how and when... Bruce is great at releasing demos... He even released basement demo type songs a couple of years ago... Jon will take note and follow in his footsteps one day..

He might be saving it all for retirement or just the right time to market or satisfy a record company requirement but we will get it all one day... just a hunch obviously but an educated one based on being a fan for 35 years.

Jon's saying a new album could come out next summer. There's hope and there's delusional hope. There's just no market right now for unreleased (or even released) Bon Jovi songs right now
